The New Ram 3500 Has a Powerful Diesel Engine

As one of the most powerful pickup trucks ever to enter the American market, the new Ram 3500 has impressive capabilities. This vehicle is available for a test drive at Auto Land Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram.

Displacing 6.7 L on a full stroke, the Ram 3500's Cummins engine block pumps out a maximum of 1,000 lb-ft of torque. This high-output I-6 powertrain is engineered to help the vehicle tow a trailer that weighs slightly more than 35,000 pounds. The Ram Active Air and Selective Catalytic Reduction are integrated into the diesel engine, which also has a powerful turbocharger and special induction system.

The Smart Diesel Exhaust function controls some of the mechanics of the Cummins powertrain. When the Ram 3500 rolls downhill, this technology prevents the engine from increasing the output. Of course, this pick-up truck also wears reliable disc brakes that apply optimum forces to control the acceleration.
